At WakeMed, our LPNs are valued members of the care team who play an essential role in delivering exceptional patient experiences and supporting high-quality clinical care.

The LPN provides physician support and nursing care to a pediatric patient population through treatments, medication administration, patient data collection, care coordination, and other clinical responsibilities under the direction of a provider or registered nurse. This position supports the mission, vision, values, and Wake Way of Excellence standards across WakeMed Physician Practices.

Who You Are

We're especially interested in candidates who:

  • Have previous experience working in a Healthplex, multispecialty, ambulatory, or high-volume outpatient setting, and are comfortable supporting Peds Endocrinology patient populations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, with the ability and willingness to travel between multiple WakeMed locations based on operational and patient care needs.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively balancing patient care, provider support, and clinical workflow responsibilities.
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, providers, and team members while contributing to a positive patient experience.
  • Embrace teamwork, accountability, and service excellence while living the Wake Way of Excellence in every patient and colleague interaction.

What you'll do

  • Provide direct nursing care, treatments, and medication administration within LPN scope of practice.
  • Collect and document patient data accurately and efficiently.
  • Support providers with clinical procedures, patient flow, and care coordination.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-focused clinical environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care and operational excellence.

This opportunity is ideal for an LPN who enjoys variety, works well across multiple locations, and is passionate about delivering exceptional care in a dynamic Healthplex environment.
