About the role
As a Clinical Nurse Midwife/Clinical Midwife at St John of God Midland Public Hospital, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to women and their families across the antenatal, birthing and postnatal journey. You will provide clinical leadership, support and mentor staff, coordinate complex care, and promote patient safety, clinical excellence and continuous improvement within the Obstetric Ward.
Our busy maternity unit comprises a 24-bed ward and five modern birth suites, offering a diverse and rewarding clinical environment. Join our supportive, collaborative team, with opportunities to enhance your skills, broaden your clinical experience and pursue future leadership pathways.
You will bring strong clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Your well-developed communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills will support effective team collaboration and high-quality patient care. You will demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement, patient safety, clinical standards and operational efficiency.
The successful applicant will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and Midwife, with a minimum of five years’ post-registration experience. Recent experience in a similar leadership role is essential, along with advanced clinical skills and demonstrated knowledge of midwifery practice.

- Salary: $109,599 to $115,681, pro rata, plus 12% superannuation
