- **Relief:** No  **Float:** No  **Hours of Work:** Extended Shift Hours (11.78)  **Salary or Pay Band:**  Pay Band Nurse A $38.580 to $50.070  **Travel Required:** No  **Job Description:** Under the direction of the Manager of Nursing, the RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care for Orthopedics.  **Human Resources Exemption:** No  **Education**
  - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) **Licenses**
  - Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) **Other Education and Training**
  - Nursing diploma is acceptable
  - Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) **Competencies**
  - Communication skills

  - Interpersonal skills **Knowledge and Abilities**
  - Knowledge of nursing principles, methods and techniques in Orthopedics.
  - Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice
  - Ability to communicate with clients from diverse backgrounds
  - Experience in nursing services relating to the care of surgery patients
  - Knowledge is commonly obtained through previous experience in Orthopedics.
  - Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
