## Job description

**Location:** Various aged care facilities in the Christchurch region

**Hours of work:** Casual on-call (confirmed prior to each assignment)

**About the role:**

As a Registered Nurse for R-Connect, you will be deployed to complete temporary assignments across various aged care facilities in the region.

As this is a casual role, you will be prompted when a temp vacancy is available, and you can accept based on your availability.

- You need to be a New Zealand Citizen/Resident, or have open work conditions.
- You must have a current NZ Driver's License.

_Note: Radius Care cannot support work visas/visa changes for casual RNs._

**Duties include:**

- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documents
- Educate and direct peers about possible side-effects of medicines
- Monitor residents and initiate appropriate treatment in an emergency
- Wound management
- Reassuring and educating residents’ families

**Skills and Experience:**

- Current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate
- Computer literacy with concise reporting skills
- People skills + empathy for our residents and their families
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts
- 1+ years of experience as a registered nurse in NZ preferred but not essential
