As an RN in Surgery, you’ll work alongside a collaborative team of surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical professionals to help provide safe, high-quality care throughout the surgical experience. If you’re looking for a surgical nursing role where your skills, teamwork, and dedication can truly make an impact, **we’d love to have you join our team at Highpoint Health Sumner.** **How you’ll contribute** - Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients throughout the surgical experience. - Perform patient assessments and identify changes in patient condition. - Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and other surgical team members to coordinate care. - Prepare patients and the surgical environment for procedures while maintaining patient safety. - Follow established infection prevention, safety, and surgical standards. - Accurately document patient care in the medical record. - Educate and support patients and families throughout their surgical experience. - Communicate effectively with the care team to promote quality outcomes and continuity of care. **What we are looking for** Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: - Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. - Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred. - Minimum of 1 year of surgery experience required. **Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift (On call required)** **Why Join Us** We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
