As part of our rural health hospital, float pool staff play a vital role in driving process improvements and contributing to meaningful change. **How you’ll contribute** A Float Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice across multiple inpatient units. Demonstrates flexibility to float where needed and collaborate with interprofessional teams to support safe, high-quality care. Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and related medical care. Documents care provided in a timely, accurate manner. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins. Additional requirements include: - Basic Life Support certification is required. - ACLS, PALS & Advanced Stroke course are preferred. - At least 1-2 years of clinical bedside experience is required in Critical Care, ED, PACU or similar. - 2-4 years critical care experience preferred. **More about us** WCCH is a 100-bed acute care hospital that has been offering exceptional care to the Wythe County community for over 53 years.
