The facility includes four 24-bed units (Meadows, Sunrise, Cedars, and Prairie) and one 12-bed unit (Sunflower), specializing in depression, anxiety, psychosis, thought disorders, and substance detoxification. **Cottonwood Springs** fosters a trauma-informed, team-centered culture where RNs and BHTs work collaboratively and are equally valued. The facility also promotes career growth, with several BHTs advancing into leadership and clinical roles across the organization. **How you’ll contribute** A **Registered Nurse (RN)** who excels in this role: - Will assess the patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings according to policies - Will oversee and supervise the shift - Demonstrates leadership through duties that may include delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc - Will also oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered by self and all members of the team - Will monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician - RN will follow hospital policy for medication administration - RN will consistently use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients - Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies - Assists/performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients **What we’re looking for** **Applicants should have a current Kansas or Compact State RN license and possess an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:** - **Education**: Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred, Associates required - **Certifications**: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, Handle with Care preferred, CPR, and De-escalation certification but must have within 30 days of hire **Schedule: FT Days Shift 7a – 7p and rotating weekends/on-call/holidays** **Why join us** We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
