Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion, and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve. **Department/Unit Summary** The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides safe, patient-centered nursing care throughout the perioperative experience. The RN works closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the surgical team to ensure patients receive high-quality care before, during, and immediately following surgical procedures. **How You’ll Contribute** - Assess patients and develop individualized perioperative plans of care. - Provide circulating RN support during surgical procedures. - Verify patient identification, surgical site, consent, and required documentation. - Maintain patient safety and support sterile technique throughout procedures. - Prepare the operating room, equipment, supplies, and medications based on scheduled procedures. - Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition to the surgical team. - Complete accurate and timely perioperative documentation. - Perform medication administration and other nursing interventions within scope of practice. - Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia, PACU, Surgical Services staff, and other departments. - Provide patient and family education as appropriate. - Participate in emergency procedures and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition. - Follow infection-prevention, patient-safety, and departmental standards. **What we offer** Fundamental to providing great care is supporting and rewarding our team. In addition to your base compensation, this position also offers: - $2.25 - $4.50 Shift differential - Professional development and growth opportunities **Qualifications and requirements** Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor’s degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: - Active **Washington** RN license (single-state) or compact required.
