## Job description

**Join HammondCare Strathearn House, Scone and make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people living with dementia.**

We are seeking an experienced **Permanent Registered Nurse** to join our dedicated residential care team. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to use your clinical expertise to support residents, mentor care teams, and help deliver exceptional, person-centred dementia care in a supportive and values-driven environment.

**About the Role**

As a Registered Nurse, you will be a clinical leader within the home, partnering with management and care teams to provide tailored support and guidance that enhances the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents.

**Key responsibilities include:**

- Supporting and guiding care staff to deliver best-practice dementia care
- Mentoring team members in clinical processes and care approaches
- Providing consultation on case management and complex clinical decisions
- Delivering clinical leadership and professional nursing oversight
- Promoting and implementing resident comfort-focused care strategies
- Utilising HammondCare's LeeCare electronic reporting system

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Ideally 2-3 years' experience in aged care, dementia care or a related setting
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Experience supporting people living with dementia and understanding their unique needs
- Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring abilities
- Strong administrative and computer skills
- A genuine passion for improving the lives of older people
- The ability to work collaboratively while also demonstrating initiative and independence
