About the role
The Transition to Practice team supports over 250 learners across Eastern Health across nursing, midwifery and allied health professions. The Clinical Support Nurse is situated within the clinical area and is responsible for providing direct clinical support and mentoring of Transition to Practice (Graduate and Early Career) learners, within educational programs supporting novice staff to develop high quality clinical practice.
Note: Clinical support is across multiple clinical areas and EH sites.
This position involves:
- Clinical Support for novice graduate during their nursing rotation
- General clinical and wellbeing support and intensive of novice learners
- Co-facilitation of study days
- Assist with bulk recruitment
What you’ll bring
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Bachelor of Nursing or other recognized equivalent formal qualification leading to condition free registration in Australia RN Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian (NMBA) via AHPRA
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
