Your sense of urgency and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment will not only support patient recovery but also fuel your own career advancement. - Adheres to the department’s and hospital’s policies and procedures, including safety, risk management and regulatory standards. - Keeps abreast of trends, developments and regulatory requirements impacting matters within designated scope of responsibility. - Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications (e.g., topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy. - Assesses patient to include physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental and spiritual needs. - Gathers data relevant for patient care. - Implements appropriate patient interventions and evaluates outcomes. **Job Requirements** Required - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. , upon hire and - Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years preferred, or - Critical care experience, current within the last 2 years preferred or - New graduate or RNs without E.D. or Critical Care experience AND successful completion of the Med-Surg residency program, additional E.D. residency courses and additional Critical Care residency courses. and - Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire and - Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and - Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 30 Days and Preferred - Bachelors Of Science Nursing and One year of related work experience in an acute care setting, upon hire - Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 120 Days or - Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, within 120 Days or - Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 120 Days or - Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 120 Days or - Certified Emergency Nurse, within 120 Days or - Critical RN Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/Acute, within 120 Days or - Certified Neuroscience RN, within 120 Days Where You'll Work Virginia Mason Franciscan Health has a rich history of providing exceptional healthcare, dating back to 1891.
